require independent registration forms. Contact the representative
listed below each sport for registration information.

All programs at the Kent County Community Center require a Facility Access Card for patrons
twelve years of age and older.

YOUTH SPORTS EQUIPMENT GRANT

The Kent County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board accepts requests for proposals for youth sports equipment funding. In order to be eligible for this funding, a representative of the youth sports organization that is submitting the proposal must have attended the annual Sports League Presidents meeting hosted by Kent County Parks and Recreation.

The cost (subject to change) includes U.S. Lacrosse membership. Boys equipment can be rented for a fee of $40, and requires a $200 deposit.

KCPR's Basketball League places an emphasis on fun, skill development, equal participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. INDOOR BATTING CAGE

For sport leagues and individuals who want to keep their skills sharp throughout the winter months, the batting cage is sure to attract many users. Helmets, balls, and pitching machine provided. Availability of batting cage will be limited due to high interest so don’t delay in securing your rental dates. A private rental of Gym B at the Community Center is required.

PLATFORM TENNIS AT WORTON PARK

Platform Tennis, often referred to as Paddle Tennis, is an American racquet sport enjoyed by thousands of people of all ages. It is the only racquet sport that players can enjoy outdoors in cold weather. This unique appeal attracts people who desire fresh air, competition, and social engagement-all on a chilly winter's day or night. The sport will be played at both highly competitive and purely recreational levels. And because it is easy to learn, it is enjoyed by players as young as eight and as old as old bones allow. Secure your rental dates now! Equipment rental packages are also available for a nominal fee.

Annual Membership Reservations/Fees

Individuals who wish to purchase an annual membership (November-October) may do so at a cost of $100 per person in County/$120 out of County. The annual membership incudes (2), two hour reservations per week for up to 52 weeks. All members must make payment and sign the Permission, Release, and Waiver Form to guarantee a reservation for a group. Although the Platform Tennis season officially begins November 1, member reservations may be reserved beginning July 1 each year for the upcoming season (November-October). Refunds will not be issued for "No Play" periods or unused or cancelled reservation time for Annual Membership Reservations. If there is an open time slot that has not been reserved on the reservation board located at the courts, members may play a third day and time in a week, in the open time slot, without making an additional reservation. Please keep in mind that this is "show up at your own risk".

Pay Per Play

Want to play Platform Tennis from time to time without the commitment of a membership? No worries! You can make reservations to play at your leisure through KCPR. The cost is $10 per person for a group of four or $30 per person for two individuals. Reservations and payment may only be made Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Don't have your own equipment to play, no problem! KCPR has three rental packages available. All facility users must sign a Permission, Release, and Waiver Form before participation.
