Park Regulations I Pool and beach Regulations I Rental Policies and Fees
KCPR has nine park facilities around the county. Activities available range from picnicking to bird watching, hiking, swimming, fishing, sports recreation, and numerous other activities. In addition to public use, the facilities can be rented for private functions.

Per Kent County Public Law (Section 64 - Domestic Animals), all dogs shall be kept under restraint. Animal owners shall be responsible for the removal of any excrement deposited by the animal. Violations will result in fines of not more than $400.

Kent Agriculture (AG) Center 21349 Tolchester Beach Rd, Chestertown, MD 21620
The Kent County Ag Center, acquired through the Federal Lands to Parks Program, hosts the annual Kent County Fair with various attractions like food, rides, exhibits, and entertainment. Francis Cann Demonstration Woodlot 13123 Still Pond Station Road, Still Pond, MD 21667
The 8-acre property on Still Pond Creek Road in Worton is designated for educational purposes like horticulture and nature. Prior scheduling and coordination with the Department of Parks and Recreation is required.
Millington Pool (Outdoor Pool) 154 Millington Road, Millington MD, 21651

Millington Pool, renovated in May 2015, is in Millington, open Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00am-6:00pm, from Memorial Day through Labor Day (weekends only during school sessions). Amenities include bathhouse with restroom facilities, tennis and pickleball courts, picnic grove, and pool rentals with lifeguards for exclusive use outside regular hours.
Bayside Landing Pool (Outdoor Pool) 20927 Bayside Avenue, Rock Hall, MD 21661
Bayside Landing Park in Rock Hall offers a public swimming pool open Thursday-Sunday, 11:00am-6:00pm (Memorial Day through Labor Day). It features a renovated bathhouse, deep water, boat ramps, boat slips, and hosts special events. Restroom facilities are open during specific times. Admission is free, with entry monitored based on capacity.
Still Pond Station Park 24188 Still Pond Neck Road, Worton, MD 21678
The 11-acre Still Pond Station Park, acquired in 2003, offers a passive recreation waterfront view but lacks amenities like bathrooms and trash cans. Visitors must take their trash with them. The park has limited space, a non-motorized boat ramp, and is monitored by various agencies. Swimming is not recommended.

The 5-acre park offers various amenities including a picnic pavilion, ball field, volleyball court, swing set, playground, and portable toilets. The pavilion can be rented and includes electric and water amenities. Contact 410-778-1948 or email

Toal Park, spanning 37.5 acres, was donated by the Toal family and expanded with additional funding in 2008. Situated near the Sassafras River, it offers amenities like a picnic pavilion, ball field, playground, and portable toilets. Contact 410-778-1948 or email
Betterton Beach 5 Ericsson Avenue, Betterton, MD 21610

This 5.2-acre waterfront park features a sandy beach, volleyball court, picnic pavilion, fishing jetty, and boat ramp. Swimming is at your own risk when lifeguards are not present. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Grilling is permitted in designated areas. Restrooms and bathhouses have specific operating hours. Kent County Beach Advisories
The Kent County Health Department's Environmental Health Services Department conducts water quality tests. High bacterial levels prompt advisories against swimming. After rainfall, avoid swimming for 48 hours due to expected high bacterial levels. Contact 410-778-1361 for more information.

Turner's Creek Park 13684 Turners Creek Road, Kennedyville , MD 21645

Turner's Creek offers 147 acres of trails, fields, and a waterfront bluff. A public boat ramp, picnic pavilion, nature trails, waterfowl, and historic attractions like the Lathim House and Kent Museum are available. Restroom facilities are in the Lathim House basement and a portable toilet is near the bulkhead. Restrooms are open from April 1-October 31. Kent County Community Center Pool 11041 Worton Road, Worton, MD 21678
The pool is 13' deep with 12 lap lanes, tube and two-person slides, tumble buckets, and a zero-depth entry zone. It also has a wading pool for children, a swimming pool wheelchair, and offers pool rentals with lifeguards. Contact for pool rental: 410-778-1948 or email

Worton Park offers a variety of facilities on 97 acres, including sports fields, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, a walking path with exercise stations, and restroom facilities. For rentals, contact 410-778-1948 or email
SPECIAL EVENT RECYCLING PROGRAM (SERP)
In accordance with the requirements of the Special Event Recycling Program (SERP), should any rental expected to have 200 or more persons in attendance, and serve food or drink, will be required to, at the contract holders' cost, provide recycling for the following items: cardboard; glass containers; plastic containers; paper; metal containers; food scraps. In addition to providing recycling receptacles for recycled items, the contract holder is responsible for ensuring the collection of all recycled materials from the rental site.

County Parks Pet Waste Program
Kent County implements a pet waste program to reduce pollution in parks and waterways, following the Maryland Department of the Environment guidelines. To help, always clean up after your dog, use biodegradable bags or flush waste, and avoid storm drains. The program aims to maintain clean and healthy environments in Kent County.
